Test Report Check
Summary
Test Report Check lets vendor guests hand in lab test reports (SGS, Intertek) and transaction certificates (TC) as PDF files. Spring Hub reads each file and checks it. You see the result of each file you uploaded, and Spring follows up with you.
The app shows under Your apps once Spring has opened it to your account.
How to
Open the app
- Sign in to Spring Hub as a guest.
- Click Test Report Check.
- Pick a tab: Bulk for full bulk test reports, AAL for AAL test reports, or TC for transaction certificates.
You only see the files of your own company.
Upload PDFs
- Click the + button at the bottom right and pick one or more PDFs. You can also drop them anywhere on the page.
- Wait for the upload line to disappear. You do not fill in a form.
- Expected result: Spring Hub tells a lab report from a transaction certificate and opens the tab it belongs to. The row shows Checking and changes to the result, usually in under a minute.
The report number, order number, style and colour are read from the file.
Bulk and AAL
Bulk and AAL list your lab reports with the order, style and colour printed on each report, its Type, its Result and the first note. Click a row to open the report.
- Read the coloured box first. It shows how many tests passed, failed, are missing or need a check by hand, with the reasons:
- Report findings — results that do not meet the customer's testing manual.
- Test types — required tests that are not in the report, and tests done with another method than the manual names.
- Check the table under the box. It has one row per test in the report with its Status.
- Click Open PDF to see the file you uploaded.
- Type your remarks under Supplier comments and click Save comment.
The result is Pass, Fail or Needs review. Fail means a test failed or a required test is missing. Needs review means Spring is still looking at the report.
Spring also checks the report against its order records. When something does not match, the reasons show Details differ from the order. Check the order, style and colour printed on the report, or contact Spring.
A wash test on the finished garment (ISO 6330, appearance after washing) is taken as the AAL test and listed in AAL. The lab's Pass or Fail decides it. Print the PO number on the AAL report, because the AAL test is followed per PO.
TC
TC lists your certificates with the seller, the order numbers, the check against the original and the Result. Click a row to open one. It shows the seller, the buyer and each certified product in Box 10 as printed on the certificate.
Spring needs the certificate for every order within 4 to 6 weeks of shipping, so upload it as soon as you receive it.
Every page of a certificate carries a QR code that links to the original held by the certification body. Spring Hub compares your file with that original:
- Identical to original — your file is exactly the issued certificate.
- Differs from original — the file is not the issued certificate. Upload the original PDF from the certification body.
Upload the PDF as you received it. A scan, a printout saved as PDF or an edited copy cannot be matched with the original.
Spring also checks the certificate against its order records. When the seller and buyer or the certified products do not match, the reasons show Details differ from the order. Check the certificate against your order, or contact Spring.
Delete an upload
- Open the report or certificate.
- Click Delete and confirm.
You can delete a lab report until Spring has sent its result on. After that, ask Spring to remove it.
Exceptions and Escalation
- Only PDF files up to 20 MB can be uploaded.
- The file is empty — the PDF was dragged straight out of a RAR or ZIP window before it was unpacked. Extract the archive to a folder first and upload from there.
- Could not be read — click Try again. If it fails again, upload the PDF again and tell your Spring contact.
- A result looks wrong — add a note under Supplier comments and tell your Spring merchandiser. The check is automatic; Spring reviews every result.
- You cannot see a lab report you uploaded — look in the other tab. A report is listed in Bulk or AAL by its test type.
- Unknown QR link or No QR code on a certificate — the file could not be compared with the original. Spring checks it by hand.
