Test Report Check
Summary
Test Report Check lists your team's CRM orders and shows which lab test reports (SGS, Intertek) and transaction certificates (TC) have come in for them. You upload the PDFs, or email them to tech@springne.com, and AI reads them. Spring Hub checks a lab report against the Finisterre Supplier Manual, and a certificate against CRM and the original held by the certification body. Each file gets Pass, Fail or Needs review with the reasons, and it is shown on the order it belongs to. The result is emailed to the team on its own.
The app is on trial inside Spring first. It shows under Your apps once it is opened to your account.
How to
Open the app
- Sign in to Spring Hub with your Microsoft work account.
- Click Test Report Check.
- Pick a tab: Bulk, AAL, TC or Weekly Report.
You see the orders of your CRM team. The lists cover orders placed or shipped since 01/09/2026.
To narrow the lists, click the filter button to the right of the tabs and choose a Vendor or a Season. A number on the button shows how many filters are on. Click Clear filters to remove them.
Upload PDFs
- Click the + button at the bottom right and pick one or more PDFs. You can also drop them anywhere on the page.
- Wait for the upload line to disappear. You do not fill in a form.
- Expected result: A lab report opens Bulk or AAL, and a certificate opens TC. The file is listed under Unmatched with Checking. Usually in under a minute it shows its result and moves to its order.
After an upload the vendor filter is cleared, so the new file stays in view.
Email PDFs to tech@springne.com
You can send lab reports and certificates by email instead of uploading them.
- Email the PDFs to tech@springne.com as attachments. Several PDFs can go in one email.
- Attach the files themselves. A OneDrive or SharePoint link is not picked up.
- Expected result: Each PDF is checked within a few minutes and shows on its order, the same as an upload. Under Uploaded it shows Email from and the sender's name.
Only emails from Spring addresses and from senders set up for the customer are picked up.
The details are worked out for you:
- Lab report: the PO number on the report finds the CRM order, and the order gives the vendor, season, style, colour and fabric component.
- Transaction certificate: the order numbers in Box 10 find the CRM orders and their vendor.
Bulk
Bulk groups the open orders by BOM code. Each BOM code shows its composition, the number of orders and the first Ship Date Plan/Act.
- Click a BOM code to see the orders that use it.
- Tick Bulk or Partial Bulk when that test is expected for the BOM. Only one of the two can be ticked.
- Read the report columns. Each bulk report for the BOM has its own line: Report, Vendor, Type, Result, Notes and Uploaded. The line is green for Pass, red for Fail and yellow while it is checked or needs review.
- Click the report number to open the report.
AAL
AAL lists the open orders, one per row.
- Tick AAL, Button or Print for the tests expected on the order.
- Read the report columns. They show each AAL report for the PO in the same way as Bulk.
An AAL report goes on the PO printed on it.
TC
TC lists the shipped orders with the Shipped qty and TC due by, which is six weeks after the Ship Date Plan/Act.
- Each certificate that names the PO has its own line: TC, Seller, Original, Result, Notes and Uploaded.
- An order past its due date with no certificate is red and shows No TC.
- Click the TC number to open the certificate.
Unmatched
A report or certificate that is on none of the listed orders is shown under the table of its tab, under Unmatched. This happens while the file is still being read, when its PO or BOM code is not in CRM, or when the order is older than 01/09/2026.
Open the file to see why. For a lab report, correct CRM and use Check again, or set the details in Edit check.
Weekly Report
Weekly Report lists the BOM codes and orders that are ticked for a test and have no report yet. A ship date within 8 weeks is highlighted.
Read a lab report
Click a report number to open the report.
- Read the coloured box first. It shows how many tests passed, failed, are missing or need a check by hand. The issues are grouped:
- Report findings — results that do not meet the manual, and results the app could not judge.
- CRM matches — style, colour, composition or weight that differ from CRM. A fabric weight that passes against the weight on the report but fails against CRM is listed here.
- Test types — required tests that are not in the report, and tests done with another method than the manual names.
- Check the table under the box. It has one row per test in the report: Test, Status, Result in report, Requirement and Details.
- Click Open PDF to read the lab report itself.
- Type vendor remarks under Supplier comments and click Save comment.
A report is Fail when a test fails or a required test is missing. It is Needs review when nothing fails but something has to be looked at, for example a test done with another method.
AAL test reports
The AAL test is the ISO 6330 wash test (appearance after washing) on the finished garment. It is done for every product.
- A garment report with the wash test and no fabric weight or composition test is taken as an AAL test. You do not need to set it.
- Only the wash test is required. The lab's Pass or Fail decides; grades are not compared with the manual, and the fabric type does not matter.
- Other tests on an AAL report, such as colour fastness, count only when the lab failed them.
- A report that is both the bulk test and the AAL test (garment dye) is set to Bulk + AAL test in Edit check. It is checked against the full bulk list, grades included, and it is shown in both Bulk and AAL.
Change how a report is checked
- Click the pen icon next to the report number. Edit check opens.
- Change Test type, tick Single tests only (retest), or pick the Testing standard (Jersey knit, Woven, True knit (knitwear)).
- Click Save and check again.
- Expected result: The report is checked again with your choice. The PDF is not read again, and your choice is kept from then on.
Vendor and Season show in Edit check only when CRM could not settle them, for example when the PO on the report is not in CRM. Click Back to automatic to drop your choices.
To check a report again after CRM was corrected, open Edit check and click Check again. Use Read PDF again only when the AI read a value wrongly.
Read a transaction certificate
Click a TC number to open the certificate. Spring Hub checks:
| On the certificate | Checked against |
|---|---|
| Box 2, seller | The vendor on the CRM order |
| Box 3, buyer | Spring Near East |
| Box 10, order number | A CRM order with that PO |
| Box 10, article number | The style on that order |
| Box 10, number of units | The quantity shipped in CRM |
| Box 10, material composition | The BOM composition in CRM |
| Box 10, season in Additional Info (for example AW26) | The season of the CRM order |
| Box 10, fabric weight in Additional Info (for example 345 gr/m²) | The fabric weight in the CRM BOM, within 5% |
| Box 10, product category (Women's or Men's apparel) | The CRM department (Ladies or Mens) |
The last three are checked only when both the certificate and CRM state them.
Each value shows a green tick when it matches, a red mark when it differs, and an amber mark when it could not be compared. The CRM value is shown under it.
When the article number is the seller's own number, the app looks for the CRM style in Additional Info and says so.
Check that the file is the original
Every page of a certificate carries a QR code. It links to the original held by the certification body.
- Open the certificate. The QR code is at the top, with the result of the comparison:
- Identical to original — the uploaded file is exactly the file the certification body holds.
- Differs from original — the file was changed after it was issued. The certificate is Fail.
- No QR code, Unknown QR link or Original not reached — the file could not be compared. Check it by hand.
- Scan the QR code with your phone, or click it or Open original, to see the original yourself.
Click Check again after CRM was corrected, or when the original could not be reached earlier.
Result emails
When a report or certificate has been checked, Spring Hub emails the result once, from tech@springne.com:
- Every result goes to the customer's test contacts at Spring.
- A pass also goes to the customer's own contacts, in a separate email without the Spring Hub link.
The email starts with a summary table: a green tick for what passed and a red cross for what failed. Then come the issues, the details that were confirmed, a link to the result in Spring Hub, and the full report. A certificate email shows its QR code. The PDF is attached.
The line shows Result emailed, sent by Spring Hub (automatic).
Send the result yourself
To send a result again, or to other people:
- Open the report or the certificate and click Send result email.
- Fill in To. It starts with the customer's test contacts at Spring. Separate addresses with a comma.
- Adjust Subject and add a Message if you want.
- Leave Attach the lab report (PDF) or Attach the certificate (PDF) ticked to send the file with it.
- Click Send.
- Expected result: The email goes out from your own mailbox and is saved in your Sent Items. The line shows Result emailed.
Notifications
When a lab report fails or needs review, the customer's test contacts at Spring get a notification. It appears under Test Report Check in the notification centre. Click it to open the report. People named on the report are not notified. If none of the contacts is found in CRM, the product's merchandiser is notified.
Certificate reminders
Every order needs a transaction certificate within 4 to 6 weeks of shipping. Each morning Spring Hub looks at the CRM Ship Date of the customer's orders:
- 4 weeks after the Ship Date, with no certificate naming the PO: Transaction certificate due, with the due date.
- From 6 weeks: Transaction certificate overdue.
The test contacts get these under Test Report Check. Click one to open TC. Uploading a certificate that names the PO removes the order's unread reminders. A reminder that was read comes back after about a month while the certificate is still missing, up to four months after shipping.
Cancelled orders and orders shipped before 01/10/2026 are not chased.
Exceptions and Escalation
- Only PDF files up to 20 MB can be uploaded.
- The file is empty — the PDF was dragged straight out of a RAR or ZIP window before it was unpacked. Extract the archive to a folder first and upload from there.
- Could not be read — click Try again. If it fails again, upload the PDF again and tell IT.
- Your CRM employee record has no team — the app cannot tell which orders are yours. Ask IT to set your team in CRM.
- An order is missing — only orders placed or shipped since 01/09/2026 are listed, and only those of your CRM team. Clear the filters as well.
- Not identified in the Vendor column of Unmatched — the PO and style on the report are not in CRM. Correct CRM and use Check again, or pick the vendor in Edit check.
- The lab report check covers Finisterre and its Supplier Manual. Reports for other customers are not checked yet.
- Unknown QR link — the original is fetched only from certification bodies the app knows. Control Union is covered today. For another body, compare the file by hand and tell IT, so it can be added.
- CRM has no shipped quantity for this order yet — the units cannot be compared until the shipment is entered in CRM. Use Check again afterwards.
- A certificate reminder for an order that has not shipped yet — the reminder counts from the Ship Date in CRM. Tell IT, so the date can be checked.
- The check is automatic. Read the lab report or certificate before you act on the result.
- An emailed PDF does not show up — check that the file was attached, not linked, and that it was sent to tech@springne.com. If it still does not show, upload it in the app and tell IT.
- Escalate a wrong requirement or a missing test in the manual tables to Technical Management.
