GL-OM-03 · Washed Garments Shade Approval
Scope
Scope: Covers the end-to-end washed garment shade approval process, from obtaining initial customer approval and establishing the approved colour scale through production sample evaluation and final shipment control.
Purpose: Ensures washed garment colours and effects are consistently evaluated against an approved colour scale and remain within the defined customer tolerances throughout production.
Owner: DMR owns and coordinates the Washed Garments Shade Approval process, including customer approval, colour scale establishment, and alignment with SpringNE QA.
Applies to: Applies to DMR and relevant QA, FT, and vendor/factory personnel involved in washed garment production, inspection, and sample approval activities.
Requirements

R1 — Ensure, customer approval obtained in advance to the bulk production for washed/denim products.

R2 — Upon receiving the initial customer approval, ensure factory prepare "pillow" or "blanket" samples to represent the actual production lots in manufacturing.

R3 — Establish a colour scale using these representative samples; share the prepared colour scale and obtain official confirmation from the customer.

R4 — Hand over the approved colour scale physically or digitally to the SpringNE QA team for inspections, attach rejected samples as well.

R5 — All subsequent production-representing samples—including Pre-Production (PP), Green Seal /Gold Seal—must be strictly evaluated against the approved colour scale. If needed FT involves.
- No manufacturer approval should be given unless the washing colour and effect of these samples fall within the tolerances of the approved colour scale.
- Under no circumstances should products that do not match the approved colour scale be shipped or presented to the customer.
- Compliance with this procedure is critical to maintaining our quality standards and customer satisfaction.
