Pre-Risk Assessment (PRA) Meeting
Scope
Scope: Covers the review of style, construction, materials, processes, and product risks during development or following customer pre-selection, including risk identification and mitigation actions before bulk commitments.
Purpose: Ensures potential technical, quality, safety, and production risks are identified and addressed before the style progresses to bulk production.
Owner: DMR owns and coordinates the PRA Meeting, including stakeholder alignment, risk assessment, action tracking, and communication.
Applies to: Applies to Designer, GT, FT, TM, AM, and PMR involved in product development, technical evaluation, sourcing, and production readiness.
Process

Schedule the PRA meeting. DMR sets the meeting during development or after the customer pre-selects the style.

Review style, construction, and materials. Confirm they meet SpringNE, customer, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Cover yarn and fabric risks, trims and components, style-specific processes (garment dye, embroidery, heavy wash), and product safety.
- Review customer comments on previously submitted samples.

Record risks and improvement actions. Identify risk points and agree improvements.
- If improvement is not possible, discontinue development and tell stakeholders.

Request pre-pilot production when needed. For new fabric or yarns not previously run at the factory, request pre-pilot production before bulk.

Share PRA notes. Email PRA notes to everyone who attended.
